    Week of May 27 - Welcome! The church at times is seen as a family, but the Bible states an even closer relationship - the body. Those who are in Christ are part of the same body. Paul encouraged the church in Ephesus to be mindful of each other. "I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith you are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one anothe in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God, and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all." (Ephesians 4:1-6) The love of Jesus Christ will keep us all together. Live and be a blessing!
  • Today’s Verse…

    Acts2:1-4 - "And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."

Just Thinking…

New Life Choir

The goodness and mercy of our God is beyond our comprehension. He not only blesses us with visible, tangible things, He watches over us as we pass through untold dangers and snares. It is a comfort to know He is with us and that He brought us through each one. In all things, seen and unseen, He is faithful! We have come to the end of another week’s activities and have much to be thankful for. An old hymn by Isaac Newton says…

“Safely through another week, God has brought us on our way;
Let us now a blessing seek, on the approaching Sabbath day…”

We’ve been kept by His grace,
We’ve been “brought” to this place;
Soon, we’ll step into His sanctuary,
There to behold His face…

As we prepare our hearts for worship, let’s take a little time to consider twelve of the wonderful blessings He loads on us daily… weekly… monthly… year in and year out…

  • Salvation – full and free,
  • Life, health, strength and healing for mind, soul, body, and spirit,
  • Food, clothing and shelter,
  • Family and friends – and their warm love and care,
  • Gainful work so we can provide for our family’s needs,
  • A sound mind that has a desire to seek and serve the Lord Jesus Christ,
  • Bible truth preached within a loving church family,
  • Freedom to worship God in Spirit and in Truth,
  • His Word, His promise, His protection and provision,
  • Children  – their laughter, their innocence, their enthusiasm and their earnest, honest hearts,
  • Space and time to repent and the mercy of a second chance,
  • Love, joy and peace found in the Holy Ghost.

“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
and into His courts with praise:
Be thankful unto Him, and bless His Name.
For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting;
And His truth endureth to all generations.”

(Psalm 100:4-5)
