Week of May 27 - Welcome! The church at times is seen as a family, but the Bible states an even closer relationship - the body. Those who are in Christ are part of the same body. Paul encouraged the church in Ephesus to be mindful of each other. "I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith you are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one anothe in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God, and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all." (Ephesians 4:1-6) The love of Jesus Christ will keep us all together. Live and be a blessing!
Acts2:1-4 - "And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."
The Lord was there in a mighty way. I will never forget the little boy who started crying because if he went to heaven he might miss Boy Scouts.
Vacation Bible School was a great success. To God be the glory! Thirty kids attended this 3-day event for 4 hours each day. I don’t know who had more fun, the kids, or the adults! (lol) We had a blast!
A big “Thank You” to all the teachers and helpers…
Sis. Jill – the puppets was a great idea for the opening session.
David – you did a great job teaching and getting the kids excited to sing.
Sis. Kerry – what can I say… the obstacle course-play area was a “hit” with the kids. It was a joy watching the children enjoying themselves!
Ray, Keila and Gage – thank you for all you do for the Kingdom of God!
All of you did an outstanding job. Thank you! I’m excited and can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for us next year.
A very special “Thank you” to Bro. Fischer, Angela and Natalie Richardson for the yummy pizzas. We enjoyed every bite!
