Week of March 14 - Welcome! In the light of all the signs we see happening in our world today; wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes in many places, and unusual weather patterns confirm that we are in the time the Bible calls "the last days." For those who do not love Christ, this could be a frightening time, but the child of God can be encouraged by the Scriptures. "And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads, for your redemption draweth nigh." (Luke 21:28) This means no more war, no more disease or sickness, no more sorrows, and also, no more bills - Hallelujah! Jesus will come again to bring a better life eternal for all those who love His appearing. Live and be blessed!
  • Today’s Verse…

Psalm 116:5-9 - "Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful. The Lord preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and He helped me. Return unto Thy rest, O My soul; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with Thee. For Thou has delivered My soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living."

A.) Prayer Requests

prayer-pic2Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:13-16

If you would like prayer, please enter your prayer request in the comment section at the bottom of this page. Remember, updates and praise reports enable us to pray not only “in the Spirit and with understanding,” they allow us to rejoice with you in your victories and give thanks, praise and worship to the Lord Jesus – who meets every need and “who healeth all thy diseases!”

NOTE: When type appears in RED, the condition is persistent and requires more prayer. GREEN means God has intervened and the condition has improved, or been completely healed! Praise the Lord!

 Employment Needs

Financial Needs

  • WNOP Request – Urgent prayer for our nation in it’s current financial crisis. Prayers of national repentance and the turning of hearts to God are crucial at this time. Many financial factors beyond our comprehension contibute to the situation. And many ramifications and consequences will follow any decisions made. These affect everything in our lives; from our homes, jobs and daily needs, to our endeavors for the furtherance of the Kingdom and our entire monetary system. Our leaders need prayer for wisdom, direction and strength to do right. Our nation needs prayer for mercy. Our people need prayer that that spirit of conviction and repentance will sweep through the nation - that the promise and principles of II Chronicles 7:14 will bring about a heart-felt and  much-needed restoration of righteousness.

 Salvation & General Needs

  • The People of Chile, February 27 – An 8.7 earthquake struck southern Chile followed by aftershocks and a tsunami that spread across the Pacific Ocean. Resulting infrastructure damage to buildings, roads, and port facilities has affected rescue efforts, communication and the arrival of humanitarian aid. Our churches in the earthquake area are also affected and doing what they can to help. Compassion Services International will also be helping. Pray strength for those who are and will be responding and for multiplication of available and contributed provisions. He who multiplied the loaves and fishes is not limited to the past. He is also God of today and all time – throughout eternity!
  • Nikki – requests prayer for herself, asking the Lord to help her gain distance from her past. Also requests prayer for her brother who is in a depressing situation.  She says, “I appreciate your prayers.”
  • Nicole – requests prayer for her family and her son, who is incarcerated. He needs salvation and deliverance.
  • The People of Haiti,  January 12 – A 7.0 earthquake devastated the region around Port au Prince, the capitol city. Please pray for the wounded, missing and those still alive but trapped under the rubble. Pray also for our churches, saints and ministry – for strength, grace and boldness in reaching out and preaching the Word with God-breathed results. “…but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.”  (Daniel 11:32b)  [Note: See post on front page.] For those who are praying; immediate, specific prayer needs include:
    • a hedge of protection around those who are suffering, especially newly orphaned children and the elderly,
    • swift and facilitated delivery of potable water, food, medicine and medical help,
    • for the peace of God to rule in the hearts and minds of all who have been so severely affected,
    • that God’s grace, protection, strength and wisdom will sustain all who are trying to help,
    • continued aftershocks mean additional damage and problems. Please pray for the mercies of God to be extended to the Haitian people. (See Lamentations 3:32-36.)
    • Update January 23 – The Haitian govenment called off the search for survivors today. Individual international search and rescue operations may continue at their discretion, but the emphasis will now shift to demolition and clean-up. Requesting prayer for the many families affected by this decision.
    • Update March 3 – Prayer is requested for the mercies of the Lord upon the Haitian people and shelter for the multitudes living in the open or under crude, flimsy shelter. The hurricane season begins in less than a month, bringing wind and heavy rain even when not classified as a hurricane. Flooding and additional misery

  • Christians in Orissa and Karnataka, India – continue to suffer intense persecution. Christians are being beaten, raped and killed. Homes and churches are being destroyed. Please pray that the these precious brothers and sisters will be; 1.) protected from attacks by right-wing Hindus, 2.) bold to witness still further despite persecution, and, 3.) that their witness will be followed by miracles so people will know their testimony is true.

  • Irina Anikieva – requests special prayer that an Apostolic church will be born in  Michurinsk (Russia). Her father was baptized in Jesus’ Name during a visit with Irina here in the U.S. Thus, the seeds of the Gospel have been sown, hearts are hungry, but the harvest field needs laborers! Some of her family members are currently working in Moscow. Please pray that they will “grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.”
