Week of May 27 - Welcome! The church at times is seen as a family, but the Bible states an even closer relationship - the body. Those who are in Christ are part of the same body. Paul encouraged the church in Ephesus to be mindful of each other. "I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith you are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one anothe in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God, and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all." (Ephesians 4:1-6) The love of Jesus Christ will keep us all together. Live and be a blessing!

Acts2:1-4 - "And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."

Care Group Ministry

There are nine major crises in life: 1.) Birth, 2.) Death, 3.) Marriage, 4.) Conversion, 5.) Unemployment,
6.) Sickness, 7.) Old Age, 8.) Death, 9.) Spiritual Emergency. Everybody goes through from five to nine of these crisis in their lifetime.

The pastor is the shepherd of the flock. But with a church the size of ours, it becomes impossible for him to give the continual help that is often needed when so many others need attention at the same time. That is why helpers are needed, not to take the pastor’s place, but to step in and show a loving interest, a friendly concern and understanding to the one going through the crisis time. Then, at the proper time, the pastor is called to fulfill his ministry of shepherding the one in need.

At New Life, these helpers are called “Crisis Ministry – Care Groups.” They are primarily the elders and deacons of the church. The role of the Crisis Ministry – Care Group is to meet the needs of people during their times of crisis.

We have assigned a Crisis Ministry - Care Group to each family in the church; one in whom you can have confidence and who will stand with you during every time of crisis in the lives of you and your family.
