With the passing of our Bishop, Charles R. Grisham, there will be a great void in the lives of many; his wife, Sis. Grisham, his children, grandchildren, relatives, and our extended church family. We will miss him greatly. “He fought the good fight, he finished his course, he kept the faith; henceforth there is laid up for him a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give him at that day; and not him only, but unto all them also that love His appearing.” (II Timothy 4:7-8)
What a great example of someone who loved everyone; God, family, church, and all that he came in contact with. His cards, phone calls, and notes were always uplifting and made you feel special. His sermons and Bible studies will continue to minister to us and the songs he sang will continue to comfort us as we remember them (and him) and sing them. It was a privilege to have had him as our Bishop, Pastor, mentor, and friend. He gave his life to the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven and the betterment of all people. He will forever be remembered as one of the greats and as an example of what can be accomplished when we are determined to be used by the Lord Jesus to do the will of God.
Continue to pray for Sister Grisham, the family, and our local church.
Live and be a blessing!
