On Prayer…

Here’s a simple prayer pattern, drawn from “The Lord’s Prayer.” (See Luke 11:1-4.)

It uses the acronym, RPAT.

R – Recognize Who He Is! There is a God… Use His Name! (See John 16:24; Hebrews 11:6.)

P – Praise Him – take time to praise Him for the great things He has done! Praise and worship acknowledge HIS worthiness.

A – ASK – an acronym within an acronym…

“Ask, and it shall be given unto you,

Seek, and ye shall find,

Knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” (See Matthew 7:7.)

Make your request/s known; confide in HIM who supplies all our needs. (See Philippians 4:19.)

T – Thank You – Thank God for inspiring you to thank Him. He is Giver of every good gift. (See James 1:17.) We need to remember this so we will recognize and show proper gratitude. From HIM all blessings flow! (See Psalm 34:1-4; 103:1-18.)
